standard objectives task grade level topic resources
I am doing my WebQuest on Nutrition and healthy bodies for Kindergarten. The State Standard is Kindergarten Core Standard 1: Students will develop a sense of self. State objective 1: Describe and practice responsible behaviors for health and safety. Indicator d: Identify helpful and harmful substances to the body. The objective will be to have children know which kinds of foods will help their bodies to be healthy and which kinds of foods and substances are unhealthy. The task will be to sort a given set of foods into healthy and unhealthy categories.
mypyramid.gov has great resources to help children understand how to have a healthy body, and what food options are good and bad. Another resource is myuen.org. There are many great lesson plan ideas for helathy bodies available on uen. There are many resources available to help children learn about proper nutrition and healthy and unhealthy choices available to them.

will they just sort? How will they demonstrate the sorting? Actually doing it with actual food?
